Incredible food
The excitement was great when I read all the good reviews of Durum Bar Frederiksberg here, but I must say that I am somewhat disappointed after eating one of their pita kebabs tonight. The accompaniment is well preserved, but the meat is actually a bit dull. Had hoped for a taste of both cinnamon and cloves - as I know it from Strøg Shawarma and Chili on Fisketorvet, but at Durum Bar Frederiksberg the meat just does not really taste of anything. It's not bad - just boring in taste. There was plenty of meat, but it was all at the bottom of the pita bread and all the filling was at the top. That makes it a slightly tiring experience to eat. However, it all ended pretty quickly on the plate I had taken out in front of the pita bread simply broke after five minutes.
Well - as I said an ok kebab, but they are definitely better found elsewhere and I will not be a regular customer here. Unfortunately because I actually live close by.
I love Durum bars falafels in Nørrebro, but it is as if those on Frb are VERY sweet in taste, which spoils the experience. I have heard several from my circle of friends say the same thing, so we are a part who eat at Nørrebro's Durum bar instead. It could be super cool if the recipe was changed a bit on frb! My boyfriend, on the other hand, loves their meat.
